1: Pocket Planes - Pocket Planes is an awesome game. The concept is simple: you are the head of an airline company and you have to have your planes complete trips to earn money. The more money you have, the more you can expand. You can buy new planes, open new airports, and buy cute outfits for your pilots. This game does have in-app purchases that you can use to level up quicker; although you can still enjoy it without ever spending money on it. You have two forms of currency: coins and bux. You earn coins by completing trips while carrying either people or cargo, and you get bux for leveling up or by watching your planes and catching random Bux that fly by.
2: Frozen Free Fall - Yada yada yada wanna build a snowman. So this is your standard match three game with Frozen themes and power ups. It isn't much different from Bejeweled which is what I like about it. You are able to buy extra lives and power ups with in app purchases, and while there isn't much special about it, I'm over 200 levels deep into this game. It's my favorite "I've got nothing to do, let’s waste some time” game. My favorite feature of the game is that you are able to buy unlimited lives for six hours for $4.99. Now I'm not huge on micro-transactions, but I always end up doing this before a flight and it’s nice to not have to worry about wasting my lives.
3: Wedding Dash - I love the dash games. Diner Dash, that shit was my jam. So you can imagine what this is – same game, but at weddings. How perfect. Literally a 10/10 game.
4: The Game of Life - This was one of my favorite board games growing up, and the app isn't half bad. This is another game that I’d refer to as a plane game. It lets you play with AI, or you can play by passing the phone. Great way to keep yourself entertained. Also I’ve found it's pretty easy to win, so I love it just a tad bit more for that.
5: 1010! - This game looks a bit like Tetris, which is bullshit because the best way I've found to play is by trying to clear lines as quickly as possible, and you get no extra points if you clear multiple lines at once. You have a grid to put pieces on and you get three pieces at a time. As soon as you can't place a piece on the board the game is over. My high score is only around 1,900 but Jamie's got over 40,000 so I'm grinding this game out hard. I’d highly recommend you pay the $2.00 to get the premium edition because the ads get super annoying very quickly.
So there you go, the five games that eat up a large amount of my free time. Let me know if you all play any or if you check any out! Be careful though; I've spent more on these then I'd care to admit, and it's a slippery slope. Frozen Free Fall and Pocket Planes are the worst culprits as the micro-transactions give you such good advantages in the game.
Have a great night. xoxo
